This is not a Unity topic. It is how an agent kit runs several CLI sessions side by side, on any project.

## The shape

- **One head tab, plus one terminal tab per lane.** The kit runs in Windows Terminal.
- **A lane is a real CLI session** the person can open and talk to. An in-process subagent is not a lane.
- **The head routes work.** Lanes do the work and report to the head.
- **The person can talk to any tab**, the head or any lane.

## When to use it

- The work splits into parts that can run at the same time, and each part is big enough to deserve its own session.
- The person wants to see each worker and talk to it directly, not only through one agent.

## When not to use it

- One session can do the task. A fleet adds routing and reporting for nothing.
- The helpers would be in-process subagents. Those are not lanes, so this shape does not apply.
- The parts cannot run at the same time, for example because they all need the one Editor or the same files at once.

## The workflow

- Action: open the head tab, then one tab per lane; give each lane one area of work and tell it to report to the head.
- Check: every lane tab is a live CLI session the person can type into, and each lane's report reaches the head.
